GAIL Board Welcomes New Government Nominee Director Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan
GAIL India on June 19 announced the appointment of Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan as the new Government Nominee Director for three years.
New Delhi: June 20, 2025. GAIL (India) Limited announced a major change to its Board of Directors yesterday on June 19, with the appointment of Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan as the new Government Nominee Director. This appointment is effective June 19, 2025. Ms. Ratan, who is currently the Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, brings extensive experience to this leading natural gas company.
The nomination was confirmed through MoP&NG Letter No. CA31032/1/2021-PNG-37493 dated June 19, 2025. Ms. Ratan (DIN 09831741) replaces Shri Asheesh Joshi (DIN 09005888), Joint Secretary of MoP&NG. Her appointment is for three years on a co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever comes first.

GAIL is currently completing the necessary internal steps to finalize the appointment process. It will provide all required disclosures to regulatory bodies in due time. This is in strict compliance with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, which require timely and clear communication about significant board changes.
Ms. Ratan's induction is expected to enhance the strategic direction and financial oversight of GAIL, a Maharatna PSU vital to India's energy infrastructure. Her deep background within the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will be a significant asset as GAIL continues to support the nation’s energy transition and gas-based economy.
