Harbrinder Singh Bajwa Takes Additional Charge as Director (Domestic Division) at CONCOR
New Delhi: Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has announced that Shri Harbrinder Singh Bajwa has assumed additional charge as Director (Domestic Division) on its Board with effect from March 1, 2026 (Forenoon).
The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Railways dated February 20, 2026. As per the communication, pending approval of the Competent Authority, the additional charge of Director (Domestic Division) has been entrusted to Bajwa in addition to his current responsibilities.
CONCOR, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India, informed the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India through official filings regarding the development.
Regulatory Compliance and Confirmation
The company confirmed that Shri Bajwa (DIN: 11506675) has not been debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other authority. He has also declared that he does not hold any shares in CONCOR.
The required procedures under the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 are being completed, and necessary disclosures will be submitted within the prescribed timelines.
Professional Background of Harbrinder Singh Bajwa
Shri Harbrinder Singh Bajwa is a 1996-batch officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). A Bachelor of Engineering graduate from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh (1995), he brings nearly three decades of diverse administrative and operational experience.
Currently serving as Executive Director (Freight Marketing) at the Railway Board under the Ministry of Railways, he oversees the entire parcel business of Indian Railways and policies related to freight terminals and private wagon investments.
Previously, Bajwa served as Divisional Railway Manager of Khurda Division under East Coast Railway, recognized as the highest freight-handling division of Indian Railways. He has also held key positions such as Executive Director (Coal), where he coordinated closely with the Ministries of Power, Coal, and Shipping to ensure uninterrupted coal transportation for power generation and critical industries.
During his tenure with the Ministry of Food & Public Distribution, he played a vital role in policymaking related to foodgrain procurement and nationwide transportation logistics. Notably, he was actively involved in managing the movement of Liquid Medical Oxygen across Indian Railways during the COVID-19 pandemic.
