Kolkata: Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna public sector enterprise, released provisional coal production and off-take data for February 2026 and the period from April 2025 to February 2026.

Year-to-Date Performance (April 2025 – February 2026)

CIL’s cumulative coal production reached 683.7 million tonnes, a slight decline of 1.7% compared to 695.3 million tonnes during the same period last year. Off-take totaled 674.6 million tonnes, down 2.8% year-on-year.

Among subsidiaries, SECL and NCL showed positive growth in off-take and production respectively, while BCCL, WCL, and CCL recorded minor declines due to operational and logistical challenges.

The provisional production and off-take figures were reported in line with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and communicated by B.P. Dubey, Executive Director (CS) & Compliance Officer.
