Rajneesh Narain Appointed Director (Finance) of IRCTC

New Delhi, June 11: The Ministry of Railways has approved the appointment of Shri Rajneesh Narain, currently serving as Director (Finance) at Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), as Director (Finance) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

According to a communication issued by the Ministry of Railways on June 11, 2026, the Competent Authority has cleared his appointment on an immediate absorption basis in the pay scale of ₹1,80,000–3,40,000 (IDA).

Rajneesh Narain will assume charge as Director (Finance) of IRCTC with effect from the date he takes over the position. His tenure will continue until his superannuation on June 30, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Director (Finance) at Northern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. His move to IRCTC brings extensive experience in financial management and public sector operations to the railway hospitality and tourism major.

IRCTC informed stock exchanges that the company is undertaking the necessary formalities in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, and SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations. Further disclosures regarding the appointment will be made in due course.

IRCTC, a Miniratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is responsible for railway ticketing, catering services, packaged drinking water, and tourism operations across India.
