RailTel Opens 5 Deputation Posts for Railway Officers in Bangalore and Mumbai
New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RCIL), the Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has issued two vacancy notices on June 10, 2026 inviting applications from railway executives for deputation to its Southern and Western regional operations. A total of 5 posts are on offer across the two notices.
Vacancy Notice 1: Bangalore Territory, Southern Region
Vacancy Notice No. RE/05/2026 advertises 2 posts for Manager, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager (Technical) at RailTel's Bangalore Territory. The posts are open to executives from the S&T or any other department of Railways or Railway PSUs.
The selected officer will handle project activities and operations, coordinate with various agencies including Indian Railways, manage IT-related work, handle tenders, and carry out any other work assigned from time to time. IT experience and tender handling experience are specifically required.
Minimum eligibility is as follows. For Manager, the candidate must have 4 years of working experience at Level-7 (7th CPC CDA) or in the IDA scale of Rs 50,000 to 1,60,000. For Deputy Manager, the candidate must be currently working at Level-7 (7th CPC) or in IDA scale of Rs 40,000 to 1,40,000. For Assistant Manager, the requirement is 4 years at Level-6 (7th CPC) or in IDA scale of Rs 30,000 to 1,20,000.
The deputation is for three years or till RailTel is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier. Absorption till superannuation is also possible. Age limit on the closing date is 56 years for deputation and 57 years for absorption. Pay will be parent grade pay plus deputation allowance as per rules.
Vacancy Notice 2: Mumbai Territory, Western Region
Vacancy Notice No. RRE/20/2025 advertises 3 posts for Senior Manager and Manager (Operations and Maintenance) at RailTel's Mumbai Territory. This vacancy is open only to S&T executives of Railways or Railway PSUs on deputation basis only — no absorption option is available here.
The selected officers will handle O&M work, LMC activities, project operations, and coordination with railways and other agencies. Age limit is 56 years on the closing date.
Minimum eligibility for Senior Manager is working at Level-9 or Level-8 (non-gazetted) in CDA or in IDA scale of Rs 60,000 to 1,80,000. For Manager, the requirement is 4 years at Level-7 in CDA or IDA scale of Rs 50,000 to 1,60,000.
Deputation period is three years or till RailTel is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier.

Zonal Railways and other organisations must forward applications along with the candidate's bio-data, details of previous deputations if any, vigilance and DAR clearance, and APARs of the last 5 years to RailTel's Corporate Office at East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi 110023.
Applications without complete enclosures will not be entertained. Candidates who have already applied against these notices need not apply again.
