The government has appointed Sandeep Pradhan as a Whole-Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a period of three-years. This is a crucial vacancy on the board of the capital markets regulator which is responsible for oversight and development of nation’s financial core structure.

New Delhi: The government has appointed Sandeep Pradhan as a Whole-Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a period of three-years. This is a crucial vacancy on the board of the capital markets regulator which is responsible for oversight and development of nation’s financial core structure.
Mr. Pradhan is an Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officer of the 1990-batch and exclusively brings vast experience in administrative and regulatory domains. This is expected to foster the capacity and expertise of stock regulating authority in terms of financial surveillance and enforcement.
Mr. Pradhan before assuming this role held several prominent positions within Central Government while serving as the Director General of the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
