Sat Pal Bhanoo joins LIC as CEO and MD on interim basis
The appointment is made for a period of three months, i.e. up to September 07, 2025 or till assumption of charge of the post by the regular incumbent, or until further orders whichever is the earliest.
Shri Sat Pal Bhanoo, Managing Director, Life Insurance Corporation of India has taken charge of the financial and administrative powers and functions of the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Corporation, in addition to his own duties.

Shri Sat Pal Bhanoo joined Life Insurance Corporation of India as Assistant Administrative Officer in October 1988. He holds a bachelor’s degree in History (Hons.) from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Shri Sat Pal Bhanoo, Managing Director took over the financial and administrative powers and functions of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director on June 08, 2025. He has a wide exposure in almost all the fields and Departments of the Corporation. During his long stint in the Corporation, he held the In-charge position of Divisions like Bengaluru-1 and Shimla.

He has experience of important roles, such as Chief (Senior Business Associate), Central Office Marketing and Regional Manager (Personnel & Industrial Relations), Northern Zone, Delhi. Prior to becoming Managing Director, Shri Bhanoo was the Zonal Manager (I/C) of Central Zone, Bhopal.
