Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh Gets Additional Charge as CMD of NHPC
The Government of India has entrusted Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, currently serving as Director (Projects) at NHPC Limited, with the additional charge of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) for one month or until a full-time appointment is made, whichever is earlier, according to a regulatory filing to SEBI on September 1.
A civil engineering graduate with over 33 years of experience in the power and infrastructure sector, Singh has been instrumental in the execution of several prestigious projects in India and Bhutan.
Since joining NHPC in July 2024 from SJVN Ltd., where he was Chief General Manager, Singh has overseen the commissioning of the 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project and advanced the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower HEP to the brink of commissioning, while also driving significant progress in other projects.
