New Delhi, 22 May 2025: Shri Sunil Kumar Verma has been relieved as the Government Nominee Director of the ITI Ltd, as the government has prematurely repatriated him to his parent cadre.

This is to inform that the Government of India vide Ministry of Communications Order No. A32013/02/2021-Admn.], Office Order No. 343/2025 dated 19 May 2025 received by the company on 21.05.2025 to the relieving of Shri Sunil Kumar Verma, Joint Secretary (A), DoT from the Department of Telecommunications with effect from the afternoon of 19.05.2025 on premature repatriation to his parent cadre, i.e. Ministry of Railways, ceased to be Government Nominee Director of the Company w.e.f. 21.05.2025, as per the exchange stated.

Mr Verma is an Officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRRSE) of the 1994 Batch. He is a Graduate (Gold Medalist) in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering from MMMEC, Gorakhpur, UP. He completed his Master's (ME) from IIT Roorkee (earlier University of Roorkee).

He is a seasoned officer with experience of 27+ years in administrative, management, and technical fields, while working earlier with Indian Railways (Ministry of Railways) and now with the Department of Telecommunications (Ministry of Communications). He worked as an Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) in the Mughalsarai Division (renamed as Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Division).

Later, while working in the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow, as Executive Director, he was involved with adherence to quality policy in Railways. He attended training in International Institutes, namely INSEAD, Singapore, and ICLIF, Malaysia. Presently, he is serving as the Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications.
