Vilas Sopan Wadekar Given Extended Charge as Director (Technical) of MRVC

The Government of India has approved the extension of additional charge of the post of Director (Technical) at Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC) in favour of Shri Vilas Sopan Wadekar, Chairman and Managing Director of MRVC.

As per an official order issued by the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), the approval has been granted ex-post facto for a further period of six months, effective from 10 November 2025. The arrangement will continue until a regular incumbent assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Wadekar will continue to hold the additional responsibility of Director (Technical) alongside his existing role as CMD, MRVC. The extension ensures continuity in technical leadership for key railway infrastructure and suburban rail development projects undertaken by MRVC.

The decision was taken with the approval of the Competent Authority and communicated to all concerned departments and officials.
