GAIL handed over 18 four wheel CNG Dry Waste Collection Vehicles to BBMP worth Rs 1 crore
The vehicles, provided under GAIL’s CSR initiative, are going to be used for dry waste collection. They run on dual fuel - Compressed natural gas (CNG) and petrol. CNG is environment-friendly fuel that is cheaper than conventional fuels and reduces maintenance costs too.

Bengaluru: GAIL India's largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company, handed over 18 four-wheel CNG Dry Waste Collection Vehicles to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), it was a Lending support to the SwachhBharat Mission in Bengaluru, worth Rs 1 crore on Thursday (October 22, 2020).
The vehicles were flagged off by Shri Gaurav Gupta, Administrator of BBMP and Shri Manjunath Prasad, Commissioner, BBMP in the presence of Shri P Murugesan, ED (Southern Region), GAIL (India) Limited and Shri Vivek Wathodkar, CGM (CGD), GAIL Gas Limited.
