Shri SK Barua MD of NRL Honoured With The PSU Leadership Award
New Delhi: We are proud to share that our MD Mr SK Barua has been honoured with the PSU Leadership Award at the Governance Now awards function today in New Delhi. The trophy was presented to him by Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries, Sri Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Barua has 33 years of varied experience in the Indian Oil and Gas Industry. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of NRL, he was serving as the Director (Finance) in NRL.
He joined NRL as its first permanent employee in the year 1993, the year that the Company was established. Over the last 24 years in NRL, he has garnered vast experience of setting up a grass root mega project starting from its conceptualization, implementation, commissioning and operations thereafter.
Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), which was set up at Numaligarh in the district of Golaghat (Assam) in accordance with the provisions made in the historic Assam Accord signed on 15th August 1985, has been conceived as a vehicle for speedy industrial and economic development of the region.
