BEML Showcases Advanced Defence Manufacturing at NDIC–AMTS 2026

New Delhi, March 19, 2026: BEML Ltd participated in the National Defence Industries Conclave – Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (NDIC–AMTS), held at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, from March 19–20, 2026. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh in the presence of top military and defence officials, including Gen Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, and Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff.

Organized by the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, the conclave serves as a strategic platform to integrate MSMEs into India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem and promote cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, digital twins, and smart materials.

During the inaugural session, Shri Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of enhancing indigenous defence capabilities through innovation, collaboration, and active industry participation. Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), highlighted the need for deeper MSME engagement across the defence value chain to further strengthen self-reliance.

On the occasion, Shri Shantanu Roy inaugurated BEML Ltd.’s Defence Pavilion, showcasing its capabilities in High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs), Sarvatra Bridging Systems, and Armoured Recovery & Repair Vehicles (ARRVs). The Raksha Mantri also visited BEML’s pavilion, interacting with senior officials and participants.

The conclave brought together MSMEs, start-ups, DPSUs, private industry, academia, and technology experts to discuss key aspects of defence manufacturing, including indigenization, innovation, and technology development across aerospace, naval systems, defence electronics, advanced materials, and defence platforms.

Aligned with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, BEML continues to strengthen indigenous manufacturing capabilities and foster a resilient, self-reliant defence ecosystem in India.
