Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh took charge as Director in charge of Burnpur & Durgapur Steel Plant
New Delhi: Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, an alumnus of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad (ISM) on Tuesday April, 19, 2022 takes charge of Director-in-Charge of SAIL's Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) and ISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur. Prior to this he was posted as Executive Director (Works) in DSP.
Educational Background:
B P Singh completed his Mechanical Engineering from ISM Dhanbad (now IIT ISM) and joined SAIL in 1990. Started his career in iron ore mine of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), a unit of SAIL. Later he became became the Head of Mines in BSP by showing his comendepable performance and was also associated with various operational areas at BSL, Bokaro.
As Executive Director (Operations) at Bhilai Steel Plant
Back in 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Executive Director and appointed as Executive Director (Operations) at Bhilai Steel Plant. He was re-designated as Executive Director (Works) at Bhilai Steel Plant at the end of December the same year. In pandemic he successfully managed the operations at Plant. The plant's production was maintained despite restricted conditions. He took over as ED (Works) in DSP on 3rd September, 2020 and has successfully implemented the converter shell changing job of all the three converters in record time. Under his able guidance, MSM accelerated production.
