BEL join hands with the Government of India in this campaign
New Delhi: The Government of India is taking all necessary steps to ensure that we are prepared well to face the challenge and threat posed by the growing pandemic of COVID-19, due to the novel Corona Virus. With the active support of the people of India, we have been able to contain the spread of the Virus in our country. The most important factor in preventing the spread of the Virus locally is to empower the citizens with the right information and taking precautions as per the advisories being issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
The awareness campaign launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on October 8, 2020, on wearing masks, maintaining safe distance and hand and face hygiene to combat COVID-19, aims to reach out to about 90 crore people. The first phase of campaign will be run intensively for two months and will continue till March.
More than 30 Union Ministers, including the Home Minister and the Defence Minister, 15 Governors and Chief Ministers and about 500 other influencers from various fields, sportsmen, industrialists and film personalities, have come forward to participate in the campaign. Among the key Ministries are Defence, Health, Railways, Rural Development, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Housing and Urban Affairs and Department of Posts.
BEL is happy to join hands with the Government of India in this campaign to save our country from the clutches of this dreaded pandemic. As part of our social media campaign to raise awareness about COVID-19, we are hereby posting the “Illustrative Guide on COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviours”, released by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, recommending certain dos and don’ts that you can follow to check the spread of the Virus.
