New Delhi: “One of the largest Public Sector companies, Bharat Petroleum has always extended a helping hand to Kerala through various initiatives. The gesture of supporting the school complex in this remote town of Anjarakandy in Kannur is sincerely appreciated,” expressed Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala.
He was inaugurating the new block of the Anjarakandy Higher Secondary School in Kannur that was constructed with CSR support from BPCL Kochi Refinery. Shri Ajith Kumar K, Executive Director (Kochi Refinery) represented BPCL at the auspicious ceremony on 27 July 2022.
Around 2700 students are studying at this school, which is very close to the Kannur International Airport, where the BPCL-KIAL Fuel Farm Private Ltd operates the ATF fuel farm. The newly constructed block has 10 classrooms, dining and kitchen facilities. This project was implemented by the Kannur District Panchayat with part support from BPCL.
