Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), a state-run aerospace and defense company, were trading positively on Tuesday after the firm secured orders totaling Rs 634 crore. In early trading, the stock rose by 1.17%, reaching Rs 318.3 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
In an exchange filing, BEL announced, "Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), has received additional orders worth Rs 634 crore since our last disclosure on November 8, 2024." The major orders include telescopic sights for guns, maintenance of the Akash Missile System, electronic voting machines (EVMs), communication equipment, test stations, jammers, spares, and various services.
With these latest orders, BEL's total orders for the financial year 2024-25 (FY25) have reached Rs 8,828 crore. Additionally, last month, Bharat Electronics received orders exceeding Rs 500 crore for laser range finders, vessel communication and support systems, communication equipment, and gun test equipment.
