Mumbai, June 18, 2026: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) has announced that the restoration work of the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) at HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL) has been completed and the unit has been successfully restarted.

The development comes nearly two months after a localized fire in the CDU heat exchanger stack on April 20, 2026, which had temporarily impacted operations at the refinery.

According to the company, all product streams from the CDU and Vacuum Distillation Unit (VDU) are now being produced and routed to respective tanks for downstream processing.
