NTPC Elevates Coal Mining Veteran Biswa Mohan Singh as Executive Director
New Delhi, 18 June 2026: NTPC Limited has appointed Biswa Mohan Singh as Executive Director with effect from June 8, 2026, recognizing his more than three decades of contributions to India's largest power generation company.
A seasoned power sector professional, Singh joined NTPC on October 26, 1990, and has accumulated over 35 years of experience across key functions including engineering, coal mining, regional engineering, project coordination, electrical maintenance, operations and maintenance (O&M), and business unit leadership.
Holding an M.Tech in Power Generation Technology, Singh has played a significant role in strengthening NTPC's engineering and operational capabilities. During his distinguished career, he has been associated with several strategic areas, including coal mining and regional engineering, contributing to the company's efforts to ensure reliable and efficient power generation.
His elevation to the position of Executive Director forms part of NTPC's senior management appointments announced under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
With extensive expertise spanning power generation, project execution and coal mining operations, Biswa Mohan Singh is expected to further strengthen NTPC's leadership team as the Maharatna PSU advances its growth strategy and energy transition initiatives.
