New Delhi: Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw engaged with semiconductor chip design companies approved under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) Scheme, reaffirming India’s ambition to strengthen its indigenous semiconductor design capabilities.
As the implementing agency of the DLI Scheme on behalf of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is playing a pivotal role in turning national policy into real-world impact. Through the scheme, startups, academic institutions, and innovators gain access to advanced EDA tools, design infrastructure, tape-out support, and ecosystem partnerships.
This initiative, in partnership with MeitY and the India Semiconductor Mission, marks a decisive step in India’s transition from a services-led economy to a product nation, driving self-reliance and global competitiveness in semiconductors. By empowering domestic chip design capabilities, India aims to build a resilient, high-tech ecosystem that supports innovation, research, and global market integration.
The DLI Scheme, supported by strategic policy interventions and infrastructure enablement, ensures that India’s semiconductor journey aligns with its broader vision of technology sovereignty, startup growth, and digital self-reliance.
