DoP&T Announces Key IAS, IRS, and IOFS Appointments, Extensions, and Repatriations Under Central Staffing Scheme

The Government of India, through DoP&T, appoints Shri Arindam Chaudhary, Ms. Neha Giri, Ms. Farah Zachariah, Shri Krishna Bajpai, and extends/repatriates senior officers under the Central Staffing Scheme.

New Delhi, 20 March 2026: The Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T), through the Office of the Establishment Officer, issued multiple notifications under the Central Staffing Scheme for senior civil servants, including appointments, extensions, and premature repatriations.

Appointments

  • Shri Arindam Chaudhary, IAS (HP: 2014) – Appointed Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, Delhi for four years.

  • Ms. Neha Giri, IAS (RJ: 2010) – Appointed Director in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Delhi for five years.

  • Ms. Farah Zachariah, IRS (C&IT, 2015) – Appointed Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Delhi for four years.

  • Shri Krishna Bajpai, IAS (KN: 2010) – Appointed Director in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Delhi for five years.

Extensions and Repatriations

  • Shri Ram Dayal Meena, IOFS (2004) – Tenure in the Ministry of Home Affairs extended by two years until 30 August 2028.

  • Shri Vikram Kesharee Pradhan, IFoS (RJ: 2010) – Tenure in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries curtailed.

  • Shri Abhas Katra Singh, IPoS (2012) – Prematurely repatriated from OSD to Minister, Ministry of I&B, Railways & Electronics & IT to parent cadre.

  • Ms. Anu Kukreja, ICOAS (2009) – Prematurely repatriated from Ministry of Home Affairs to parent cadre with extended cooling-off provision.

All officers are required to join their new posts within three weeks from the date of the DoP&T appointment order, in line with ACC directives, failing which debarment from the Central Staffing Scheme may be initiated.

These personnel movements reinforce the Government of India’s efforts to strengthen central deputation governance and ensure efficient staffing across key ministries and departments.
