GIC funded Rs.11.88 cr to Village Social Transformation Foundation for 'Mission Mahagram'

Mumbai: Under the General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re), CSR initiative to fund ‘Mission Mahagram', the MOU was signed between the Village Social Transformation Foundation(VSTF) and General Insurance Corporation of India. The MOU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
In this 'Mission Mahagram' various activities will be implemented in the next 3 years in 101 villages of 5 Districts, of the Maharashtra state in collaboration with GIC Re. GIC Re has contributed Rs.11.88 crore under their CSR Initiative for this Mission Mahagram Project.

On this occasion, Shri. Praveen Singh Pardeshi, Managing Director of Village Social Transformation Foundation & CEO - MITRA, Dr. Rajaram Dighe, Chief Executive Officer of VSTF, Shri. Dilipsing Bayas, Joint-CEO VSTF along with GIC Re’s Mr. Ramaswamy Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Smt. Jayashri Balkrishna, General Manager and GIC Re CSR team, were present.

General Insurance Corporation of India and Village Social Transformation Foundation have included agriculture and agriculture allied sector, rural housing sector, rural health sector, water supply and sanitation and water conservation sector, education sector, livelihood sector and special projects in 101 villages of 15 talukas in 5 districts viz. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Solapur, Latur, Parbhani & Dharashiv, of Maharshtra.
