MECL and CMPDIL discussed possible collaboration

Ranchi: CMDs of Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited (Formerly Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited and CMPDIL recently came into a strategic conversation to advance coal exploration. Indra Dev Narayan, CMD, MECL, held an important meeting with Manoj Kumar, CMD of CMPDIL and Shankar Nagachari, Director (Technical/Engineering Services) of CMPDIL, at the CMPDIL Headquarter in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

MECL is currently undertaking coal exploration work across various coal-bearing areas under an MOU with CMPDIL, Ministry of Coal.

During the meeting, the CMDs reviewed the performance of ongoing coal exploration projects, focusing on progress, challenges, and strategies to enhance operational efficiency. They also explored avenues to further strengthen the collaboration between MECL and CMPDIL, ensuring that exploration activities align with national energy requirements while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

MECL continues to play a pivotal role in coal exploration, contributing significantly to India’s resource security and supporting the growth of the country's energy sector.
