New Delhi: Sanjay Varma took over as the Managing Director (additional charge) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) on Thursday.
Shri M Venkatesh has vacated the office of Managing Director w.e.f. June 01, 2023, on completion of his tenure of five years as Managing Director & CEO. After which Varma has been assigned to the additional charge of Managing Director w.e.f. June 01, 2023, till June 30, 2024, i.e. the date of his superannuation, or till the appointment of the regular incumbent to the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

He is a mechanical engineering graduate, joined MRPL in December 1993 and has played a major role in the execution and operation of all three major phases of the refinery and its aromatic complex.
