NLC India Limited secures Mining Innovation Award

State-run NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has been conferred with the prestigious Mining Innovation Award for upholding high mining operations standards. According to an official release, the award was presented by T.N. Singh, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna at the third international conference on safe and sustainable mining technologies at Bhubaneswar on January 8.

NLCIL was awarded the award for developing solar projects and pumped storage projects on mined-out lands, afforestation initiatives, and effective groundwater utilization.

“The award is a testament to NLCIL’s commitment to adopting innovative and environmentally responsible practices in the mining sector. Sustainability is an integral part of the company’s operations,” said Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NLCIL
