Officer training course concluded in Kochi
92 Officer Trainees of the 103rd Integrated Officers Training Course graduated on completion of Sub Lieutenant Technical Courses in a Passing Out Parade held at Naval Base, Kochi on 22 March 2024.
Rear Admiral Satish Shenai, CSO(Training) was the Chief Guest and reviewed the parade. The 39-week-long Sub-Lieutenant courses coordinated by the Centre of Excellence in Ethics, Leadership, and Behavioural Studies CELABS are conducted at 14 professional schools located at Kochi, Jamnagar, Lonavala, and Mumbai. In addition to theoretical training, the trainees were also exposed to intense practical learning through the use of simulators, camps, sports, and cultural activities.

Sub-Lieutenant Tusaar Solanki was awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Trophy for standing First in Overall Order of Merit during the Sub-Lieutenant courses while Sub-Lieutenant Shreyanshu Jha was awarded the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (South) Rolling Trophy for standing Second in Overall Order of Merit. Sub-Lieutenant Utkarsh Ishwar was awarded the Admiral Ram Das Katari Trophy for standing First in Overall Order of Merit from induction to completion of ab initio training and Sub-Lieutenant Anivesh Singh Parihar was awarded the Sword of Honour.
The Chief Guest addressed the passing-out officers during the Valedictory Function and congratulated them on this achievement. He also complimented the staff of all training units for imparting a high standard of professional training. He encouraged the young officers to continue their meet with learning and enhance their knowledge during the forthcoming sea appointments.
