SAIL's Independent Directors visits Durgapur Steel Plant
The dignitaries on visit to Durgapur included Shri N. Shankarappa, Shri AK Tripathy, Shri K Sarda, Smt. Neelam Sonker & Shri SKV Raju.

Durgapur: Independent Directors of SAIL were on a visit to Durgapur from 18th to 21st April, 2022. The dignitaries on visit to Durgapur included Shri N. Shankarappa, Shri AK Tripathy, Shri K Sarda, Smt. Neelam Sonker & Shri SKV Raju. The dignitaries on their arrival at Durgapur House on 18.04.2022 were given a warm welcome by senior officials of DSP. Next day on 19.04.2022, the dignitaries left for ISP, Burnpur and returned on the same evening back to Durgapur.

The dignitaries started their visit at Durgapur on 20.04.2022 with their first visit to DSP Medical & Health Services area and CSR sites of DSP. On arrival at DSP Medical & Health Services, the visiting dignitaries, Shri K Sarda & Shri AK Tripathy were welcomed by Dr. RG Niyogi ED (M&HS), DSP, after which they taken to Pediatrics Ward, Pharmacy Store house & Indoor Patient’s Kitchen and briefed in details about the functioning and related aspects of the unit. The other dignitaries, Shri N. Shankarappa, Shri SKV Raju and Smt. Neeelam Sonker thereafter visited Shilpangan, Nivedita & SAIL Kanya Shiksha Niketan, the sites located in the steel township & developed under CSR scheme of DSP. 

The dignitaries thereafter visited Safety Excellence Centre, Bloom cum Round Caster, Wheel & Axle Plant, Medium Structural Mill MSM Garden & Alloy Steels Plant. During the visit, the dignitaries also planted tree saplings in the gardens of Durgapur House thereby reiterating their commitment to clean and green environment.  The dignitaries also held meetings with senior officials of DSP & ASP at Durgapur House Conference Hall. During the meeting, presentations on overview of DSP, production performance & new upcoming projects were made followed by interactions with senior officials on performance related aspects.
