New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for the appointment of Shri Ratna Sekhar Adika, Director (HR & CA), Balmer Lawrie & Company (BLC) to the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), BLC. The Government has appointed him as CMD of BLC with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. 30.06.2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Shri Ratna Sekhar Adika has over 25 years of experience in multicultural organizations in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations and Administration.
Balmer Lawrie is a Miniratna - I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Govt. of India, with a turnover of Rs. 1593 crores and a profit of Rs. 157 crores. Along with its four Joint Ventures and two subsidiaries in India and abroad, today it is a much-respected transnational diversified conglomerate with presence in both manufacturing and service sectors.
