Shri Sushil Kumar Sharma Director Electrical SJVN
Shimla: Shri Sushil Kumar Sharma has joined as Director (Electrical) of SJVN Limited. Prior to this, Sh. Sushil Sharma was holding the post of General Manager and was in charge of Mechanical Maintenance of India’s largest underground 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station. He succeeded Sh. R.K. Bansal who superannuated on 31.07.2020.
Sh. Sharma did his B.E. (Mechanical) from VNIT Nagpur. He has more than 30 years of rich and varied experience in various organisations including SJVN. He joined SJVN in January 1994 as Assistant Engineer and worked in various Departments and Projects and rose to the level of General Manager.
In SJVN, he has been actively associated in the Design & Construction of 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Project and 412 MW Rampur Project. He has a vast experience in Design, Erection and Maintenance of Hydro Power Plants. Initially he has worked in the Design office of SJVN for about 19 years and was associated in Planning and Design of Hydro-Mechanical components of various projects. Later, he played a crucial role in the successful Erection & Commissioning of 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station. After Commissioning, he was in-charge of Maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical components of 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station. Subsequently, he held the charge of Mechanical Maintenance of 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station.
