New Delhi: Sushil Chandra Mishra today on June 30, 2022, superannuated from his role as Chairman and Managing Director of the second largest Indian-government owned company, Oil India Limited.
In 1984 as an Executive Trainee
From an executive trainee to CMD of the company, Shri. Mishra came so far with his dynamic functionality. His professional journey started with OIL in 1984, as a trainee. He played a key role in framing and implementing procurement policies & procedures for inventory management, vendor development, framework agreement, and its related strategies.
Shri Mishra has a track record of delivering stretched results. He has over 35 Years of experience in Oil India Limited (OIL).
2019-2020
Shri Sushil Chandra Mishra has taken over as the Chairman and Managing Director of Oil India Limited (OIL), India’s second-largest National Exploration & Production Company on 1st October 2019. Shri Mishra acquired significant Board level exposure at corporate office at the time of launch of OIL’s IPO in 2009 and the developing the Strategic Plan 2020.
Before CMD, OIL
Prior to taking over as Chairman & Managing Director, he held the position of Executive Director (Rajasthan Project), Jodhpur and was responsible for successfully implementing India’s first and deepest Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS) process - a technology to produce heavy crude oil. Holding the promise of manifold increase in production of heavy-oil from Rajasthan fields, CSS is expected to be game changer vehicle for growth and expansion of OIL's domestic production.
Known for his people skills & quick decision making abilities, Shri Mishra has deep understanding of OIL's culture with proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
