New Delhi: Suzlon Energy Limited has informed the stock exchanges about an order passed by the Principal Commissioner of Customs, Chennai, levying a cumulative penalty of ₹9.60 crore on Suzlon Global Services Limited (since merged with Suzlon Energy Limited).

In a regulatory filing dated February 20, 2026, the company disclosed that the order was received on February 19, 2026, pertaining to alleged short payment of customs duty under the head IGST.

Suzlon Energy has stated that it shall prefer an appeal against the order with the appropriate authorities in due course of time. The company has disclosed that subject to the outcome of the appeal, the cumulative penalty of ₹9.60 crore may become payable.

The disclosure has been made pursuant to the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and was submitted to both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited for the information of members and the public at large.
