Nagpur, February 20, 2026: Shri Shankar Nagachari, Director (T/CRD), Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), held a meeting with senior officials of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) at its headquarters in Nagpur on February 19, 2026, to discuss matters related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and future collaboration in coal exploration.

Key Discussions:

  • CSR Initiatives: Shri Nagachari, accompanied by Shri Rajesh Ralhan, Regional Director, RI-IV, Nagpur, met with Shri Hemant Pande, Director (HR), WCL, to deliberate on various CSR initiatives. The discussions focused on strengthening social development programs and enhancing the impact of collaborative CSR efforts in the region.

  • Coal Exploration Prospects: In a separate engagement, Shri Nagachari held discussions with Shri Anandji Prasad, Director (Technical/Operations), and Shri Sandeep S. Paranjpe, Director (Technical/Project & Planning), WCL. The talks centered on future prospects in coal exploration and the potential support that CMPDI can extend to WCL in this domain.
