SJVN’s flagship 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station (NJHPS) has achieved a major operational milestone by recording a design energy generation of 6612 million units (MU) on 29 November 2025. This achievement marks the second-fastest design energy generation in the station’s history, reinforcing its reputation as one of India’s most efficient hydroelectric power projects.

 

Located in Himachal Pradesh, the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station is the largest hydroelectric power project operated by SJVN. Achieving the design energy well before the financial year-end demonstrates the plant’s high availability, efficient water management, and operational excellence.
