CMD, NHPC & Directors also visited an Exhibition organized by Farmer-Producers Companies registered for Livelihood interventions initiated by NHPC in the field of Sericulture & Handloom.

CMD, NHPC & all functional directors of NHPC visits NHPC's 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE project

New Delhi: Sh A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC alongwith Sh N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), Sh Y.K. Chaubey, Director (Technical), Sh R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) & Sh Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) visited NHPC's 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HE Project (Assam/Arunachal Pradesh) on 06.08.21. 

 

This was the first time that CMD & all Directors have jointly visited a project. During the visit, they inspected key construction areas viz. Dam Site, Power House site & underground structures & other critical E&M & HM fronts of the project including facility areas & fabrication yards. 

 

CMD & Functional Directors were apprised of various ongoing construction activities undertaken by the project in spite of difficulties faced by the project due to the Covid Pandemic & its associated bottlenecks like a crisis of Industrial Oxygen & constraints of skilled manpower, material availability at site. In his address to officers & staff of the project, CMD appreciated the hard work of the project team & the progress achieved so far. 


He appealed to everyone to put their best efforts in completing this prestigious project in time which would not only be one of the biggest achievements of NHPC but would also benefit the entire country by augmenting annual energy generation by approximately 7000 MUs per annum.

 

CMD, NHPC was confident that with huge business prospects currently available with NHPC & a highly committed team of officers, NHPC will stride to success & achieve greater heights. CMD, NHPC was hopeful that the project's major components shall be ready by June 2022 so that 02 units of the project may be commissioned by August 2022. 


CMD, NHPC & Directors also visited an Exhibition organized by Farmer-Producers Companies registered for Livelihood interventions initiated by NHPC in the field of Sericulture & Handloom. They appreciated the efforts & initiative of NHPC being implemented for the people living in the downstream areas
