New Delhi: The month of November–December 2025 marked a significant step towards reinforcing welfare initiatives across ECL, with the ECL Welfare Board undertaking detailed inspections of two major operational Areas.

In the month of December 2025, the Welfare Board visited S.P. Mines Area for inspection, led by Shri R.R.R. Lakra, General Manager (Welfare & CSR), ECL along with representatives from the Union and Management. Following a warm welcome, the team inspected the key welfare facilities including the rehabilitation village at Jamunitand, Old Colony, Area Hospital, Children’s Park, New Colony and D.A.V. Public School, Chitra.

The Board appreciated the repair and upgradation works undertaken at New Colony and provided constructive suggestions for further improvement of welfare amenities. A comprehensive review meeting with HODs and Project officials was also held to identify action points aimed at enhancing facilities for employees, their families and local residents.

Subsequently,  the Welfare Board conducted an inspection of Rajmahal Area. The visit began with a detailed presentation on the Area’s performance and the status of welfare amenities. The Board inspected the Regional Hospital, D.A.V. Public School, Urjanagar, Eco-Park, R.O. Plant and Mine Canteen.
The Welfare Board expressed satisfaction over the upkeep and maintenance of welfare facilities while also highlighting specific areas for further improvement during the concluding interaction with HODs and Project officials.
