IGL Advances in Saudi Arabia Gas Network Project, Clears Pre-Qualification Stage

New Delhi, January 9, 2026: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a leading city gas distribution company in India, has successfully cleared the pre-qualification stage for a major natural gas distribution project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

IGL, in alliance with MASAH Construction Company, had submitted a bid for participating in the tender for developing natural gas distribution networks across various industrial cities in KSA. The company has now been informed by the Saudi authorities that it has qualified for the next stage, the competition phase, with the detailed tender documents to be shared in due course.

“This progression marks a significant milestone for IGL in expanding its expertise and footprint in international markets,” said an official statement from IGL. The move aligns with IGL’s strategy to leverage its city gas distribution capabilities globally and strengthen its presence in the energy sector.

The announcement comes shortly after IGL’s earlier update in November 2025, regarding the execution of the Alliance-cum-Partnership Agreement with MASAH Construction Company for this project.
