Indian Oil Executive Ajay Garg Dies After Fall from 17th Floor in Noida | Investigation Ongoing

New Delhi/Noida: Ajay Garg, a senior executive of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and currently serving as Executive Director, died on Saturday after falling from the 17th floor of a residential high-rise in Sector 104, Noida, police officials confirmed.

The incident occurred around 10:20 am at the ATS One Hamlet housing complex. According to preliminary findings, Mr. Garg had been speaking with his wife over the phone shortly before the fall. Investigators believe he may have stepped onto the balcony in search of better mobile network connectivity, as signal strength inside the apartment was reportedly weak.

Residents of the society noticed him lying motionless on the ground moments later. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Sector 110, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.

Senior police officers stated that the case is being examined from all possible angles. No suicide note has been recovered, and there are no immediate indications of self-harm. CCTV footage from the society and nearby areas is being reviewed to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the incident.

Mr. Garg, originally from Kanpur, lived in Noida with his wife Mayuri Garg. Their son is employed in Mumbai. Statements from family members, building residents and staff are being recorded as part of the ongoing investigation. Police said further conclusions would depend on forensic and medical findings.
