NBCC to Develop ₹5,800 Crore Rajasthan Mandapam & Allied Urban Infrastructure Projects
New Delhi / Jaipur, 19 March 2026: In a major milestone for Rajasthan’s urban development, the state Cabinet has granted approval for the expansion of the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre and allied projects, with a revised total project cost of ₹5,800 crore, to be executed by NBCC (India) Limited.
The announcement comes on the eve of Rajasthan Diwas, during an event at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur, where Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma unveiled digital and pictorial views of the project. The event was attended by Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of Industries & Commerce, IT & C, Youth Affairs & Sports, Skills, Planning & Entrepreneurship, Shri Krishan Kumar Vishnoi, Hon’ble Minister of State, Shri V. Srinivas, Chief Secretary, and Shri Shikhar Agrawal, Additional Chief Secretary & Chairman, Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO), along with NBCC CMD Dr. K. P. Mahadevaswamy and other dignitaries.
Project Overview
Located near Jaipur International Airport, the Rajasthan Mandapam development will span over 90 acres, with a total built-up area of over 94.53 lakh sq.ft. The master plan integrates:

Convention Centre: Iconic facility with multiple auditoria, including the grand Padam Mandap seating ~6,500, along with Swarn, Tulsi, and Kadam Mandaps.

Expo Halls: Around 7 lakh sq.ft. of exhibition space for large-scale international events.

Global Capability Centres & IT/ITES Offices: 18 lakh sq.ft. of commercial spaces for business and technology activities.

Hotels, Retail, Housing & Fintech Plaza: Comprehensive hospitality, retail, and residential infrastructure with over 10.76 lakh sq.ft., including fintech plaza (~69,000 sq.ft.).

Natural History Museum: Cultural and educational facility covering 1.77 lakh sq.ft.

Riverfront Revitalization: Dravyawati riverfront transformed into a sustainable public space with pedestrian-friendly design and ecological restoration.

Parking & Connectivity: Over 32.5 lakh sq.ft. of parking integrated with climate-responsive urban design.
Execution and Sustainability
NBCC will execute the project through a self-financing model, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining world-class standards of transparency, efficiency, and timely delivery. Tenders for various components are expected to be floated starting April 2026, marking the transition from planning to execution.
