NHPC Announces Key Changes in Senior Management

New Delhi, 31st December 2025 – NHPC Limited has officially announced changes in its senior management, in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Shri Sandeep Kumar, Executive Director, has retired upon attaining superannuation on 31st December 2025. Shri Kumar’s tenure has been marked by significant contributions to the company’s operational efficiency and strategic initiatives in the Indian power sector.

Effective 1st January 2026, Shri Rajeev Jain and Shri Abhayanand Thakur have been promoted to key positions within the company. Shri Jain holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, joined NHPC on 9th June 1997, and brings 28 years of experience. Shri Thakur, with a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, joined NHPC on 9th December 1996, contributing 29 years of service to the organization.

These changes reflect NHPC’s continued focus on leadership excellence, succession planning, and operational continuity. The announcement has been submitted to BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
