NHPC hosted 47th Annual General Meeting; Know what key points....

NHPC hosted its 47th Annual General Meeting on August 31, 2023 through video conferencing from its conferencing from its Corporate Office, in Faridabad.
The members of the company considered proposal for the declaration of dividend of Rs 1.85/- per equity share for the year 2022-23, which is inclusive of interim dividend of Rs 1.40/- per equity share paid in March 2023.
Sh R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, NHPC addressed the shareholders at the AGM wherein members of NHPC Board including Sh R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance), Sh Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects), Sh Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel) & Independent Directors Dr. Uday Sakharam Nirgudkar, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kansal, Prof. (Dr.) Rashmi Sharma Rawal, Sh Jiji Joseph, Sh Premkumar Goverthanan & Smt. Rupa Deb, Company Secretary, NHPC were also present.
Sh Vishnoi informed that NHPC achieved its highest ever annual Profit after Tax of Rs 3833.79 Cr on standalone basis compared to Rs 3537.71 Cr in the previous FY L.e. an increase of 8%.

CMD, NHPC further said that NHPC's Power Stations generated 24,907 MUS & recorded highest ever annual Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 88.75% during the financial year 2022-23. He further added that on approval of the shareholders the total Dividend payout for FY 2022-23 will be Rs. 1858.33 crore.
Sh R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, NHPC said that Green hydrogen has gained significant attention as a potential solution for decarbonizing various sectors such as heavy industry, transportation etc. & is expected to be the future of energy.

These pilot projects will create roadmap for future development of green hydrogen & subsequent reduction of the carbon emission in transportation/ heating sector. Various queries of members regarding performance of the Company were also addressed at the AGM.
