SAAR Subansiri Handloom is a livelihood initiative by NHPC Ltd., in consultation with Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA).
Assam: Subansiri Lower HE Project has launched e-Commerce website for SAAR Subansiri Handloom on 07.11.2020. SAAR Subansiri Handloom is a livelihood initiative by NHPC Ltd., in consultation with Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), through Network Partner Foundation for MSME Cluster (FMC) to bring together women weavers of Dhemaji & Lakhimpur on collective enterprise model.
The motto of the website is to developed and promote the brand and market of the traditional weaving styles of Assamese women. It is recommended by the Core Group of Assam, a high-level committee has been constituted by the Assam government.
NHPC with the support of the state government endeavored to establish a robust and sustainable women weaver-oriented collective enterprise which have its brand with a mission to create Atmanirvar Bharat with the tagline Saksham Naari, Sasakt Asom.
