NHPC provides financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh to the red cross society
New Delhi: NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company provided financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh to the Red Cross Society, Faridabad for COVID-19. The cheque was handed over by Shri A. K. Singh, CMD, NHPC in presence of Shri Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects) NHPC to the Mrs. Sushma Gupta, Vice-Chairperson of Red Cross Society Faridabad on 22nd June 2020. The assistance has been given for providing all essential services to deprived and under privileged people with food items, dry ration packets masks etc.
NHPC through its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, has been actively supporting and promoting CSR projects for prevention & mitigation of COVID-19. The thrust lies in promotion of health care, including preventive health care and sanitation to the community at large and disaster management. NHPC has directed all locations to provide all the support to the needy people.In future also NHPC shall continue to make all possible efforts in supporting the country in crisis period due to COVID-19 pandemic.
