NHPC takes preventive measures against coronavirus disease

Faridabad. NHPC is taking proactive measures against Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at its Corporate Office in Faridabad and across all its Power Stations/ Projects/ Regional Offices and Field Units throughout the country. Advisories have been issued on frequent intervals for the employees in line with guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

 

A number of programmes including CME lecture by Dr. Ravi Shankar Jha, Pulmonologist at Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad for doctors and paramedical staff has been organized. Webcast for all NHPC employees, Video Conferencing and interactive session with doctors and paramedical staff across all locations of NHPC have been carried out to increase awareness on Corona Virus. A number of Posters, Hoarding and Standees on Coronavirus prevention have also been placed across all locations.

 

NHPC has also taken precautionary measures at Corporate Office Faridabad and NHPC Residential colony at Surajkund, Faridabad. Hand sanitizers have been placed at every entry and exit point of each floor in office, guest house along with instruction to sanitize hands before entry. The hourly cleaning of all sanitary fittings and door fittings, Floor cleaning with disinfectant based cleaner is being carried out. The Visitor’s entry is restricted/regulated and visitors’ entry points of building is minimized.

 

The Housing staff, Security staff and Canteen Staff have all been equipped with hand gloves and masks. The attendance is being recorded by card or mobile app. All work stations of employees are cleaned with approved disinfectant and Common Facilities area like Officers’ Club, Gym, Badminton court, Yoga hall are closed till further orders. The Cold fumigation of office premises is being taken up after office hours.
