Chennai, May 28, 2026: NLC India Limited on Thursday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited, has incorporated a joint venture company with National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the development of grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects.

The newly incorporated joint venture has been named NIRL NCRTC Renewables Limited, the company said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.

According to the filing, the joint venture will operate with an equity participation structure of 74:26, with NLC India Renewables Limited holding the majority stake and National Capital Region Transport Corporation holding the remaining share.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation for the new entity on May 27, 2026.

The collaboration marks a strategic step toward expanding renewable energy integration in India’s transportation infrastructure sector. The venture is expected to support the development of clean energy capacity for rail-based regional transit systems and contribute to the country’s broader decarbonisation and sustainability objectives.

National Capital Region Transport Corporation is implementing the Namo Bharat regional rapid transit network across the National Capital Region, while NLC India Limited has been actively scaling up its renewable energy portfolio through solar and green energy initiatives.

The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
