NTPC Renewable to commission third part capacity of Khavda Solar Energy Project
NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has announced that the third-party capacity of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project will be commissioned on 22.08.2025.
New Delhi, 21 August 2025: The wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd., has announced that the third-part capacity of 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project will be commissioned on 22.08.2025. The expansion would accumulate the total capacity to 224.13 MW.
According to the exchange filing, consequent upon successful commissioning, third-party capacity of 49.125 MW out of the 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project at Khavda, Bhuj, Gujarat, of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited under the 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project, will be declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 22.08.2025.

The first part capacity of 142.2 MW and the second part capacity of 32.8 MW have already been declared in commercial operation w.e.f. 28.06.2025 and 30.06.2025, respectively.
Shares of NTPC Green Energy closed at Rs 103.52, down by 1.58% at BSE. The stock has revived by over 2.29% in the last five days.
