NTPC updates fair disclosure policy for unpublished price sensitive information

New Delhi: State owned power major NTPC Limited has amended its Code of Practices and Procedures for Fair Disclosure of Unpublished Price Sensitive Information with effect from January 8 2026.

The company informed stock exchanges that the revision has been carried out in compliance with Regulation 8 of the SEBI Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulations 2015. The updated framework aims to further strengthen transparency in disclosures and ensure fair dissemination of price sensitive information to investors and the market.

Under the revised code NTPC has reinforced guidelines for prompt public disclosure of unpublished price sensitive information once credible and concrete information comes into existence. The company has also emphasized uniform and universal disclosure practices to avoid selective communication of such information.

The company secretary or head of finance ISD or any other person authorized by the chairman and managing director will function as the Chief Investor Relations Officer and will be responsible for dissemination of information and disclosures.

The amended framework also includes strengthened processes for handling market rumours ensuring fair responses to regulatory queries and improved documentation of investor interactions including publishing transcripts of analyst meetings on the company website.

NTPC said the revised code is part of its ongoing commitment to high standards of corporate governance investor protection and regulatory compliance.

The updated code has been made available on the company website for public access.
