New Delhi: In a major step toward next-generation energy production, ONGC has successfully gone live with its Digital Neelam and SHP offshore platforms, marking a decisive leap in the company’s digital transformation journey. The milestone was flagged off by Pankaj Kumar, Director (Production), ONGC, underscoring the PSU giant’s sharp focus on enhanced safety, operational efficiency and smart production systems.
The digitalisation initiative is designed to strengthen real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and remote operations across offshore assets. It also lays the groundwork for future autonomous offshore operations, steadily moving ONGC towards Zero Manning platforms—a global best practice aimed at minimizing human exposure while improving reliability and resilience.
With Digital Neelam and SHP now live, ONGC is redefining offshore energy production by combining advanced digital technologies, automation and data-driven decision-making, reinforcing its commitment to safer, smarter and more sustainable operations in India’s upstream sector.
