ONGC Launches DeepX Initiative to Boost India’s Deep-Sea Energy Exploration

Mumbai, March 2026: In a major step towards strengthening India’s energy security, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has launched its ambitious deep-sea exploration initiative, DeepX, under the broader vision of Samudra Manthan.

The initiative was virtually inaugurated by ONGC Chairman Arun Singh and formally unveiled in Mumbai by Director (Exploration) OP Sinha. The newly established DeepX Centre is designed to push the boundaries of offshore exploration and unlock untapped hydrocarbon reserves beneath India’s oceans.
