Shri B. Mugunthan Appointed Director (Finance) at DFCCIL

New Delhi, March 19, 2026:  The Government of India, through the Ministry of Railways, has approved the appointment of Shri B. Mugunthan, IRAS (DOB: 08.05.1970), currently serving as FA & CAO, Northern Railway, to the post of Director (Finance), Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL).

The appointment is on an immediate absorption basis, with the officer assuming the IDA scale pay of Rs. 1,80,000 – 3,40,000, effective from the date he assumes charge. His tenure will continue until 31st May 2030, the date of superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Along with this appointment, the resignation of Shri Mugunthan from Railway service has been accepted with effect from the date of assuming charge at DFCCIL. The Ministry has requested both Shri Mugunthan and the General Manager, Northern Railway, to ensure prompt joining and relieving formalities.

This appointment strengthens DFCCIL’s leadership in managing its financial operations, reflecting the Government’s emphasis on placing experienced Railway officers in strategic positions within public sector undertakings.

The notification has been circulated to various senior officials of the Railway Board, Deptt. of Personnel & Training, and PESB, ensuring all administrative and procedural formalities are completed smoothly.
