RailTel Secures ₹159.8 Crore Order from Prasar Bharati for Cloud-Based News Room Project
New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. , a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise (PSE) under the Ministry of Railways, has announced a significant order win. In a regulatory filing on Friday, the company disclosed the receipt of a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) , specifically the office of the Director General, Doordarshan.
The contract, valued at Rs. 1,59,80,86,415/- (inclusive of taxes) , is for the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning (SITC) of a Cloud-Based Integrated News Room for Doordarshan News, DD India, and Regional News Units.

In its filing to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 , RailTel confirmed that this order does not fall under related party transactions, and neither the promoters nor the promoter group have any interest in the awarding entity. The company issued the intimation with the approval of its Executive Director (CO), noting that the receipt date of the order was March 19, 2026.
